What homeowners check before they call a contractor
Hiring a contractor is a big, nerve-wracking purchase. Before they call, most homeowners want to see three things: real photos of work you've done, proof you're legitimate, and an easy way to ask for a quote. If your site can't show those on a phone in a few seconds, they move to the next result.
What we build into every contractor website
- Project gallery with your real before-and-after photos, organized by job type (kitchens, basements, roofs, decks).
- A page for each main service, so you can show up for “basement finishing Ankeny” and “roof replacement Des Moines”, not just your company name.
- A quote form that asks the right questions: project type, rough timeline, location, and optional photo upload.
- Service-area section listing the cities and towns you actually work in, without fake “locations.”
- Trust details you can verify: licensing/registration where it applies, insurance, warranties you actually offer, and links to your real Google reviews.
- Tap-to-call and text right at the top on mobile, for homeowners standing in a flooded basement.
Local SEO for contractors
Most contractors travel to customers, so you're a service-area business in Google's eyes. That means setting up your Google Business Profile with your service areas and, if you work from home, hiding your address. It also means consistent business info across Google, Bing, Apple Maps, Yelp and the BBB, and a steady stream of honest reviews after each finished job.
What we won't do
We won't post stock photos as if they're your work, invent reviews, or create fake office addresses in cities you don't have an office in. Those shortcuts break Google's guidelines and erode the trust you're trying to build.

Contractors & Remodelers website FAQ
Do contractors really need a website if they get work by referral?
Referrals almost always look you up first. A site with real project photos and an easy quote form helps turn those referrals into signed jobs, and brings in people who don't know you yet.
Can you build a gallery from photos on my phone?
Yes. Send us your photos with a line or two about each job and we'll organize them into a fast, clean gallery.
Should I list prices for remodeling work?
Exact prices are rarely possible, but typical ranges or “projects usually start around” guidance can help people self-qualify. It's your call.
Do you make separate pages for every city I work in?
Only where we can write something genuinely useful for that city. Thin copy-paste city pages are a known spam pattern, so we usually start with one strong service-area section.
